Information for businesses: Who can use My Mendip and what you can sell:

My Mendip is designed to support small independent businesses, in line with our vision, mission and values, to create a thriving and sustainable Mendip. As such, the values of the businesses selling My Mendip need to align with the values of My Mendip itself. Mostly, we feel comfortable relying on people to self assess these values and alignment, and respect it accordingly. However, it's worth nothing that My Mendip reserves the right to to refuse usage of the site to any business that it feels does not align with our values. This is currently at the sole discretion of My Mendip. If we remove your shop from the site, we will give a pro rata refund of any subscription time already paid for remaining.

  • In any way that is unlawful or fraudulent, or has any unlawful or fraudulent purpose or effect.

My Mendip is a platform for connecting customers with businesses. We take no responsibility for ensuring your legal compliance, which remains the sole responsibility of the business. For example, if you sell alcohol, you are responsible for the correct licences and ensure you have mechanisms in place that prevent under 18s from purchasing alcohol from you. You must also verify the age of the purchaser for knife sales.
